3321 Author Profile " No Jumping on the Bed " Tedd Arnold

This is a great Author, My six year old daughter enjoys his books. This book is about a little boy named Walter who keeps breaking his father rules. He jumps on the bed falling through all the apartment floors from the building he lives in. Along the way he picks up all this different residents until they end up in the basement.
I would introduce this book by showing the students the cover then asking them, "What do you think this book is about?" after reading the story I can ask questions such as, " Can this really happen to you if you if you were jumping in the bed?" "Can you actually go through each floor and pick up somebody?" In this book you could ask chronological questions, " Whose floor did he land first" Then who was second etc.
At the end students could go to their bear book and write about their favorite part of the book.... or I really liked when.... then have them draw a picture about the book. The idea is to get them to recall and express themselves.
